“You have everything you need for complete peace and total happiness right now.” ― Wayne W. Dyer
Do you ever feel like life isn’t all it’s cracked up to be?
It’s as if you missed some private “how to be happy, whole, and harmonious” memo that everyone else got!
What do all of these other people have that you don’t?
Frankly they have nothing different!
We all have a source of innate wisdom and joy that we can connect with, but many people get stuck in negativity and end up lost with no clear aims or vision.
They lose touch with their purpose, power, potential, positivity, and mindful presence!
I have found from working with coaching and therapy clients that peoples’ experience of life changes dramatically when they go after and practice these five major areas!
If you’re ready to feel more invigorated, fall in love with life, and do more of what you love here are the ideas to begin infusing into your life!
Live with PURPOSE
What is the big reason you are alive? What is your life’s direction? I believe that people have a higher calling. We all have something that fills us with a sense of purpose, and uncovering this “purpose” is how to live a more fulfilling and significant life. Without a sense of purpose we are lost and drained. We end up asleep at the wheel just coasting along.
What is most important to you? What are your values? What inspires you? What gives you a sense of meaning and significance?
“Your purpose in life is to find your purpose and give your whole heart and soul to it” ― Gautama Buddha
Find your TRUE POWER
Personal power is what allows someone to have self-control and discipline on a day to day basis. It is the difference between feeling life a victim or a creator. Without power we feel stuck! We have a choice each and every day how we are going to deal with challenges.
Power is having a sense that you can do what needs to be done. Power is all about taking action, and feeling a sense of momentum and velocity in the direction you want your life to go.
“When you do what you fear most, then you can do anything.” ― Stephen Richards
Practice mindful PRESENCE
So many people get caught up their cravings for the future or the mistakes they have made in the past. However today is really all you have.
I’m sure you have big goals and aspirations for the future but the results and happiness you want come from how you live today. Make the most of today and experience a meaningful life right now! Just relax, live in the moment, and appreciate your experiences today as you work toward the life you want to create.
“If you are depressed you are living in the past. If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you are at peace you are living in the present.” – Lao Tzu
Cultivate more POSITIVITY
Having emotional well-being comes from many sources, but the important thing to realize is that we are responsible for cultivating positive emotions. A few positive emotions that can boost your well-being are gratitude, passion, and joy. Many coaching clients seem to benefit from these areas first.
It’s important to appreciate what we have now as we create more of what we want in the future. As well, starting to make a habit of doing what you’re passionate about gets you in the state of what positive psychologists call Flow, where you lose track of time and are totally absorbed in what you’re doing. Foster these emotions and start to live a more positive life.
“It will never rain roses: when we want to have more roses, we must plant more roses.” ― George Eliot
Keep expanding POTENTIAL
I believe we are meant to keep growing and becoming the best person we can be. We are meant to flourish and thrive. Our potential is unlimited but most people don’t realize how much they are truly capable of.
When we are stretching ourselves and pushing our comfort zone we will feel more alive, and ultimately become a more whole and enhanced person. You are meant to keep expanding your potential!
“To be what we are, and to become what we are capable of becoming, is the only end of life.” ― Robert Louis Stevenson
How would your life change if you committed to growing and cultivating these areas? What’s that one thing you would commit to doing?
